By now I thought we would be sitting in our new house toasting our accomplishments and living it up. But we are just existing - sometimes it feels like we are barely doing that. We are in our new house, but we are all four living in the guest room while the place gets unpacked and put together, the finishes complete and the landscaping started. I spend equal amounts of time cleaning and unpacking, and we have ants. Ugh.
But we do have Internet now and we are alive. Pictures and more to come. If you are really missing us you can check us out on Sara's blog looking rather fantastic if I do say so myself. (I'd like thank Sara for teaching me the proper way to position my head, photoshop and my friends at Allergan...)

those are GREAT pictures. You guys look gorgeous.
I hate unpacking also...it is the one of my least favorite things to do...especially trying to decide where to put everything...it's the little things at the end that I always get tired of.
That IS a GORGEOUS family pic--I think you might have found a piece to frame for your entryway. Really! Glad to know you're alive and kicking, and sorry about the ants. Call me if you ever want to do something other than unpack. =)
Are those white pants? Honey, you lookin' good if you can pull off white pants in a photo shoot. Ben is quite the OG in the dog picture. I am guessing that was a borrowed prop since I haven't heard of any dog buying adventures. Good luck with unpacking. It's hideous. It is amazing how your stuff that fit fine into your condo and other smaller places just seem to swallow up your space when you are trying to unpack.
you guys are looking rather fantastic there! don't worry about living in your guest room (it's great!), or the ants (nothing works!) - just be happy you can stretch your legs and see the sun. :-) I 'll bring my kids over as a diversion soon!

Those were some great pictures. I hear you on unpacking, it is the worst. And trying to finish things up on a new house is a pain. You would think that with a brand new house everything would be fabulous, but it never turns out how we hope. Sorry about the ants, that is never a great welcome home gift. It's good that you guys have a place to spread out in.
