Darn it MSN, do you have to give me olympic results at the TOP of the browser? I already clicked "HIDE RESULTS" from the first day you spoiled my fun. But you couldn't resist being the first one to tell me when Michael Phelps has won yet ANOTHER gold so you snuck it in RIGHT THERE AT THE TOP next to the button that says SHOW ME THE RESULTS. A girl can only stay up so late you know.
And what are you doing here browsing blogs when Whitewater Kayaking is on? Get back to your spot on the couch. Or on the floor in front of the couch doing situps because you're pretty sure that if Dara Torres can do it, so can you.

Yeah--that Dana Torres is my idol. I thought of her as I was swimming laps today. Too bad I was calculating in my mind how many more laps she would do in the same amount of time. Amazing, huh? Maybe it's that new speedo suit they're all talking about. As soon as I can come to terms with the $550 price tag, I might try it out . . .
I understand what you're saying, Lynn. I was the spoiler for Doug - but I didn't know I was spoiling anything! I was just reading the USA medal results from on-line when all of a sudden I hear a wail from him telling me I ruined everything. He'll be happy when Merrill comes home tomorrow and he won't have to hang out with his mom anymore!
By the way, how is the great NorthWest? Are you guys feeling settled? I want you to know that Sacrament meetings in Kailua First Ward just aren't the same now that you took the entertainment away! We miss you guys and hope you're doing well in Washington.

Isnt the olympics fun!! Phelps is amazing. We think he must be the REAL superman but he doesnt reveal himself so that he can receive enough gold medals to display in a whole room.
Its just decorating? He can't stop till he gets just the right amount of gold to make the room perfect.
I don't think he even likes to swim he is so addicted to the gold he cant stop himself!!
I agree! I turned to my computer (in this age of new) to catch the latest gymnastic updates, only to instantly learn that China has taken Gold. PFDT!!! I didn't even get to watch the '16 year old' girls whoop a**. Guess I'll have to stay up till 1am to watch it 'live'. :)
All this gymnastics reminds me of our years dedicated to the sport of pain (likely 13ish years). Do you recall the 'evil eye' you used to give me? ;)

Um, thatʻs pretty funny. Thanks for posting my life since last Friday on your blog.
Iʻll get back to the couch to watch the tube. Iʻve gotta figure out how to be a fish.
So frustrating. Nate and I had the DVR set and ready with Phelps about to swim for his 7th gold medal. We had been putting it off for about 2 hours trying to get some things taken care of around the house so we could relax--you know--we were building up for the big one. Connor asked me to help him with something on the computer--and there it was in plain sight--Phelps wins 7th gold. I was so mad!! But I pretended I didn't know, and watched with Nathan like I had no idea what would happen. His reaction vs. mine gave it away.
Isn't that crazy how many gold medals that guy has won?? I didn't actually see it but I have many spoilers around me so I heard all about it:) Yes, Lily is 10 months. I'm a little behind but I'm trying to be better! I hope all is well!! Can't wait to see you guys!
