Farewell to Fall

Leaves Leaves Falling Down
Dancing in the Wind
Falling to the Ground

The Wind Blows
Then the Children will Catch You

You will Grow Again
When Spring Comes

-Avery G. Westbrook

Age 4

Although we have five or six days until the first official day of winter, the Northwest welcomed in the new season early with snow and frigid temps today. Up until now it has been a blissful fall, offering reccession-proof fun and inspiration at every turn.

this post is probably my favorite too. i don't know why it took me so long to get up. never have i gotton so many pictures of my kids that i like so much all at one time. and then avery went and made up her "poem" while riding around in the car one day. you bet i had to pull over and record that one. she's a poet and she didn't know it.

it's a good thing i let them play in the leaves that morning b/c when we came back later they had raked them all up!

What great pictures! Avery is a little beauty. Ben will have to be ready in a few years. . .I have a feeling he'll have to fight off the masses.

These are such cute pictures of your kids. I wish our leaves were that pretty, ours were ugly. Looks like they were having a blast throwing and playing in the leaves.
