Question - Do I have a Facebook account?
I just got 12 emails today saying people added me as a friend on Facebook. Which is fine...except that I didn't know that I had an account. I've been thinking about it since everyone raves about it. But unless I surf the web in my sleep I haven't signed up as of yet. I tried to get on once but found the sign up process time consuming and confusing so I never went back.
Don't you have to have a cute picture of yourself to get a Facebook account? I have to work on that first, then I'll sign up and frolic with all my newfound friends.

BUt if you got emails saying you'd been added as a friend, someone you know has created an account for you. FB wouldn't have your email address otherwise.
I created an account for my brother after too many of his highschool friends contacted ME looking for HIM. His wife knew before he did that he had an account when I suggested their 'friendship.'
I'm impressed you've held off this long. I initially called FB the 'annoying little sister' to blogger, but it grows on you (much like an annoying little sister). It is truly amazing how many connections you can make. Have fun!
I have said account, but prefer blogging. I rarely get on unless I get one of those emails like "add me as a friend/relative". It would be curious to know how you suddenly came to be a FB account holder. How mysterious.

Yeah, facebook is something that is completely foreign to me. Everyone raves about it around here as well and I have yet to attempt because I do such a horrible job blogging most of the time that I don't want to enter another guilt realm. But if you do get an account sometime good job and good luck! Count me as an "off-the-record friend" because I'm a LONG way off in that arena. Your house is coming along great!! I can't wait to come visit sometime and see it all.:)
Okay, my family is trying to get me into the FB thing, even my mom has an account. Not sure I'm ready to make the plunge yet...Can't blogging be enough?!?
I heard that Facebook can be very addicting...I haven't ventured out to the unknown...Maybe one of these days:) Hope all is well:)

Yeah I received one of those " Add Lynn as a friend" requests . I added you as a friend already so you are a step ahead of the game. BTW it is fun.
Its a lot easier to keep in contact with people via facebook/myspace...You know my vote too :)
What email address? I did an email friend finder and it didn't pull you...
OK - Lynn - way too spooky - great minds think alike. I joined about a month ago just so I could see one of my friend's pictures of her new baby girl. Then just this past Sunday - I actually went on and added a picture and low and behold - it was like an avalanche effect. I was thinking the blog is more of my way of keeping fam/friends current with Madi and facebook would be for me. Give it a whirl girl :)If anything Erica Clower's stuff is hilarious enough to join which by the way so jealous she saw yall!!!
Facebook is instantaneous, Blogging is cool but requires more time. Sometimes, facebook gives me the quick "need to know" fix I'm itching for :D
I think you should stop fighting and give in to your curiousity. When you create your page be sure to add me. I'll see you on FB.

I recently jumped onto the Facebook bandwagon. I like blogging better. Still, it's a good way to connect with old friends from high school.
After you sign up (er, get the password to the account someone set up for you)I'll put you on my friends list. That way you can see my pic. Let's just say it isn't flattering. I think my husband is embarrassed by it because he purposely took a picture of me by myself (never happens) the other day. He casually mentioned it'd be a good pic for my facebook acct. hmmmm ... think I'll keep the rocker one up for a little bit longer!
I just figured out how it happened if you aren't signed up...If someone invited you to join, they can send out a "friend suggestion" to other people. Then those other people can click to add you "when you join". So someone invited you, then sent you to other people who are ready to accept your friendship once you give in and join.
Someone must have created one for you. How strange. I have an account but don't spend nearly the amount of time on it that I know some people do. It is neat to catch up with people and see what they are up to (without having to do too much leg work - which is why I am so bad at keeping up with people), but it can be addicting....thankfully I'm more of a blogger stalker than a FB stalker. :)
From your own Facebook account you can "suggest" that a friend sign up for Facebook--in the space provided, you type in the friend's email and Facebook sends the friend a sign-up page (at least that was my understanding). You can also suggest friends for them (which is what I did--apparently 12 or so). This is to help the newcomer get started. The person you send the request to still has to sign-up officially. No account should have been created. Mystery solved. :)
Facebook requires no keep-up; its the friends that require the work. But it's definitely more addicting than blogging. Its like the shiny lights bugs are attracted to.
